Hello Out There

Well after a LONG trip back from CHA; we have spent the last couple of days entering orders til our eyeballs are about to pop out. So we wanted to let you all know we will announce the Sneak Peek Week winners and CHA-W winners tomorrow! So make sure you pop on back here and see if you won!

Day 4: CHA-W last day update

Well we are done. And with the rush of the day, we still haven't had a chance to download our photos yet so alas tonight's post will be without photos.

We did after spending 5 hours tearing down the booth, get a chance to spend a little time in Anaheim with the little Maya Roadies that have traveled with us. Our bellies are full and a couple of small toys were purchased and we are ready for bed before we all head out!

Day 3 - CHA Update

Wow, we can't believe day 3 is done! And thanks for all the shoe suggestions! Can we just say that over 75% of our staff did wear crocs - the classics, mary janes and new ones too. And we still unfortunately all still had tired feet. We even have anti-fatigue carpet in our booth but alas, still toes that need some TLC

Today we want to share a photo of our staff right before we left for the day:

If we could post a caption bubble above our heads it would say "time to go home and prop our feet and order some Chipotle in!"

Day 2 - we need new shoes! (CHA-W show)

Wow, is day 2 already over? It was an exciting day at our booth today but our toes hurt like crazy from all the standing! We started the day pretty early with a fire alarm where the entire show had to evacuate the building; luckily it was only a 5 minute wait outside before we were all allowed to back in.

Here is our make and take table where we made some banners and everyone got to keep the 5" x 7" binders ( that the chipboard sheet came out ) of to take home!

Maya Road CHA-W Day 1 Post

We are back in the hotel room and resting our tired feet today. We did manage to get a couple of photos of our booth today which we wanted to share with you. We only had a couple of moments to snap some photos on our phone but we think this will give you a feel of how things were at the show.

Here is a look at our booth before the day started. You can see we had HUNDREDS of projects to go with all of our samples.

And check out our make and take -  we had such a tremendous response, by 3:30, we had run out of cool tags to make!

Here are some photos of our "sitting area" where customers could review their orders or just prop their feet and check out some of the cute projects from our design team. If you look closely there are some bagpipers playing. This is a show tradition that starts off each and every trade show.

It was a busy day for all of us but we will be back tomorrow to share more photos.

Day 7 Peek - Sharing With You ALL The GOODs!

Before we get started, there was a couple of questions on the last post about some of the albums we shared so let's answer those questions:

Q. How did Jess cover the album pages with the holes?

A: Very carefully - LOL! Actually, we asked Jess, she covered each of the pages and then used a hole punch to punch out the hole shape. Then she took a barrel / round shaped sander and sanded inside each of the holes to get a nice fit!

Q: How did Lia do the word "new" on her album?

A: We got to ask Lia this too and she said she used an embossing tinsel that you can heat emboss. If you google the term, you will probably find some different cool colors you like!

Now back to our regularly scheduled peek! We wanted to show you the sticker we will be passing out at the show. Make sure you tell your LSS and online store to stop by our booth if they are going to CHA; tell them what you want to see them order!

If we find that we have any leftover from the show, we will make sure to stick some in the sneak peek winner packages!

Day 6 Peeks - You Do Not Want To "Mist" This!

So we hope everyone had a great weekend! We are back with our Day 6 Peeks (not peaks like mountains) and look what we have to share with you - some of our new Maya Mists! We are introducing a new metallics line - 6 new colors in all. These Metallic Mists are colored and the shine is amazing.

Let's get to them!

What about an amazing amazing iridescent color? This was just sprayed (2 coats) onto our raw chipboard and you get shine like this.

Now what about a pretty turquoise color; again check out the metallic feel of this:

And what about a beautiful bronze color:

These Maya Mists are designed to work with all of our chipboard. The colors are amazing rich (meaning lots of pigments in there) and our chipboard dries to the touch quite nicely and quickly!

And we wanted you to get a close up look at some of our new chipboard albums too! Check this triangle banner out. Our big triangle banner has been so popular that we made one slightly smaller and cuter! It comes with pretty much ALL the chipboard pieces you will need to decorate it and you will get the rings too. We give you the rings because we want you to be able to also use the banner as an album - decorate it on the front as a banner and put all your memories on the back as the album! When you are done hanging it, you can use the rings to set the album aside to remember your special event! All of this for only $5 retail. How great is that?

Day 5 Peeks Are Here!

Yes, we are still going to post on a Friday night. We didn't want to let you down with our weeks of peeks - can't let a Friday Night get in the way! BUT we will take a weekend break and come back to more peeks on Monday. You need to make sure you check back.

And you DEFINITELY want to check back during the 4 days of CHA as we do updates and we have some gift certificates we will be giving away for Maya Road stuff (more on that later).

So back to our peeks - today is our stamp day. We love our stamps. Each of our sets is designed to work with all of our other products. All of our stamps are made of high quality photo polymer in the US. They are the perfect way to get crisp images on your projects!

Let's get started with our 2 big sets: the bingo card - with interchangeable header and our crowns! These will come packaged in our signature tins.

And what about some days of the week and clocks - can you believe in this 2" x 3" area we fit 9 different clock pieces of stamps? And the days of the week stamp are perfect if you are documenting your daily life! The days are separate from the journaling portion.

And finally this is one of our favorite stamps. It is a build - a - tree set. You can use these stamps a TON of ways! Make Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall trees by changing the number of leaves you use. Add a birdie or owl or pear for that special touch!

Day 4 - You'll Want More

There was a couple of questions about when things would be shipping - as we mentioned in a prior post, pretty much everything will be shipping (EXCEPT for the trims and flowers)right after CHA-W. With that begin said, we are tracking our container like a kid tracks Santa on Christmas Eve to make sure it arrives on time. There is always the clearing customs factor but if everything goes smoothly, everything will be ready to go the week after we get back from CHA (again except for the trim and flowers which will be mid/late March).

So back to our peeks today. When we started our sheers a couple of years ago, they caught on like wildfire. With that we have a couple of different things here for you. Let's start off with some of our sheer owls:

These cuties come in our blister packs so you get a whole gaggle of them for your use - perfect for card making and more!

And who can forget the owl's distant relative, the birds:

The mini owls and birds come in a blister pack which each holds about 24 of these fowl friends and retails for about $3.50 in the US. How tweet is that?

Next, our ever popular larger sheer sets (that come in our signature tins) - what about some clocks with hands? We took these from our set of rubons we made a while ago and translated them into these clocks. You get over  70 pieces (yes 70) in this set for $8.00. Layer them, use them all separate for your projects - you will have enough! Did we also mention these come in brown and cream?

 

And what about some tags (real tags that you can hang on things); these come 36 to a set and retail for about $8.00. They will also come in brown and cream.

 

And these ones are our sheer keychains - our sheer luggage tags; we have actually flown with one of these on its original chain across 2 continents and 10,000 miles on a checked bag and it still made it - how cool is that? These luggage tags are printed on even a higher gauge sheer material than our other sheers. This set will retail for $2.00.

And since we only have a sneak peek week (not month) we wanted to share with you some other things we are excited about. Check out these two chipboard coasters.

Here is our song bird (who is a big 5" across) - the first page is die cut out for you. Oh yeah and he retails for less than $2.50.

A *MINI* Peek For Day 3

Wow, is it already day 3? We are back to share with you some tiny peeks - things that we think you will absolutely LOVE. Are you ready?

Check out our new mini chipboards - these come packaged in blister packs and each set contains from 28 -70 pieces of chipboard!

Day 2 of Maya Road Sneak Peeks - How About Some Color for Spring?

Yeah, we know we admit it, sometimes in the beautiful scrapbook land of papers and such, our albums probably can't compare but we love us some color too. Today we are going to share with you some Trinkets color from our new CHA-W line - ribbons, flowers and more!

What about some pretty flowers?

We have 5 new packs of flowers - each with eight beauties in them. And guess what - retail is about $3.50 - $3.75 / pack (in the US) for each pack of 8 of these cool creations.

Next, let's follow it up with some pom pom trim but in 2 new styles! Check out the colors here.

 

Would you believe that these pom pom trim will only be about $1.10 / yard? Yeah, seriously. You might see other ones out there for $1.50 - $2.00 /yard but not ours!

Next we have some of our double stitch velvet which is 3/8" wide along with some of our crochet trim.

And the double stitch velvet matches all the double stitch flowers we show above and is less than $0.95/ yard. And the crocheted trim is only $0.60 / yard (in the US).
